Well. The weather has held off long enough for some excellent tennis.
The day started with the Mixed handicaps with Neilan and Nikki narrowly beating Johanne and Nigel Davey in a 3 set thriller.

On the other court it looked like a usual Saturday morning with Vernon and Nigel Ware smashing the ball as hard as possible at each other in the Men’s Vets singles. Nigel as usual won in 3 sets.

The Ladies Vets doubles on court 3 was another 3 set thriller with Lisa and Donna beating Jackie and Elayne.

Unfortunately the Mixed doubles was a bit of a mismatch with Mitch and Alison going down 2-0 to Carys and Nigel Ware. Mitch was clearly the weaker link in that partnership.

The Mens’ vets doubles was an amazing match with some excellent play – a brilliant lob by Mark Feeley towards the end helped to seal a 2-1 win with his partner Paul G vs Ian and Vernon.

The Ladies doubles is still in play between Tracey and Johanne vs the Draper girls.
