Results are filtering in from the club competitions. Matches are finally getting arranged and balls are being hit in anger.

Men’s Singles:

Charlie Bischoff put Mark Hastings to the sword and progresses to play the winner of Dave Sadler or David Ham. Matt Keeling also beat Brad Turnbull so he progresses to the next round against John Coyle. Neilan Govender beat Paul Gunn and will now face Tony Pero. And the club captain, Paul Gibson lost to Steve Montgomerie who will now face Nigel Ware or Neil Patel.

I understand that Rob Steptoe and Nic Guiso narrowly lost last night in the men’s doubles against defending champions, Vernon and Nigel. They will now face David Ham and Steve Montgomerie.

I also heard that Iraz and Matt Keeling pulled off a result against Tracey Dobbs and Matt Dyson in the Mixed Doubles.
