Demand exceeds supply at Bank Holiday Tournament
There was a last minute rush to sign up for the bank holiday tournament and with 20 already confirmed several people were disappointed not to play.There was an excellent turnout with a good cross section of ladies and men of all standards, and a cadet, Emre Keeling, playing for the first time. There were 5 rounds of seven games and a very close contest with only three points dividing the top four ladies and two points the top four men.The eventual winners were Sharon Bennett as top lady and Clive Garrod as top man with Emre receiving a prize for his excellent play throughout the morning.Keep your eyes peeled for the next tournament event and remember to sign up or e-mail early.
