The group get organised
The group was so successful they decided to form a club. Land in Brockley Grove was loaned by Mr Wood – turf and construction was provided by the Church for two tennis courts.
Here is a letter from Mr. Wood to Mr Willard, confirming the donation of the land:
Mr Wood laid a stone at the Church as a memorial to his parents. You can still see it – it is quite close to the Tennis Courts, and the Willard family also laid a stone.
Finally, here’s a picture of the Wood family in 1925. Mr. H. Ernest Wood is seated.
